Article verification feature confirms the accuracy of articles for the readers in your organization. The contributors of the article can review the contents of the article and mark it as verified. It also allows you to set an interval within which the article needs to be verified.
Verifying an article comprises reviewing it, making any necessary updates, and confirming verification. After you verify an article it will indicate in the article that it has been verified. The contributors will receive email and in-app notifications two days before the set expiry. The article will be marked unverified after the due date.
Verification process can be set only for articles that are published. If there are multiple versions of an article, verification will be applied to the latest published version.
To verify an article:
1. Navigate to the article.
2. Click the More Options icon (

).
3. Click Set Verification.
4.Choose the type of users you want to assign as verifiers.
5.Set the interval in the Verification Reminder Interval section
5. Click Save and Verify.
The article will be marked with a "Verified" tag and it will retain the tag until the next due date. The contributors who were involved in the authoring and verification process will be notified 2 days before the expiry. The article will be marked unverified after the due date. The verifiers will have to check the article again and mark it as verified.
To set editors only as verifiers:
Choose the Editors Only option from the drop-down below Verifiers section.
To set editors, admins, and contributors as verifiers:
1. Choose the Editors, Admins & Contributors option from the drop-down below the Verifiers section.
To set editors and admins as verifiers:
1. Choose the Editors & Admins option from the drop-down below the Verifiers section.
To set editors and specific users as verifiers:
1. Choose the Editors & Selected Users option from the drop-down below the Verifiers section.
To manually unverify an article:
Method 1
1. Navigate to the article.
2. Click the More Options icon (

) and click
Manage Verification.
3. Then click Unverify.
Method 2
1. Click the "Verified" tag on the top of the article.
2. Click on the Manage icon.
You can also disable the verification process of an article. This will remove the verification tag and stop verification reminder notification.
To disable/remove verification:
Method 1
1. Navigate to the article.
2. Click the More Options icon (

) and click
Manage Verification.
3. Click Remove.
Method 2
1. Click the "Verified" or "Unverified" tag on the top of the article.
2. Click on the Manage icon.
3. Click Remove.
To change the verification interval:
- Navigate to the article.
- Click the More Options icon (
).
- Click Manage Verification.
Select the interval in Verification reminder interval section, click Save and Verify.
The verification process will be removed if an article is moved or unpublished.
Verification expiration acts as a reminder for contributors to update the information in the article.You can choose a custom date to mark your article as expired.
To set a custom verification expiration:
Choose Custom date from the Verification Interval drop-down.
2. Select the date of your choice using the drop-down under Verification Expiration Date and , click Save and Verify .
When publishing an unverified article, the user should select a valid verification interval before hitting the Publish button.
