Zoho Learn lets you import Markdown (.md) files into articles and preview their content before publishing. You can also create articles from scratch using the Markdown editor.
This feature is useful for managing Markdown files generated by large language models (LLMs) and converting them into articles in Zoho Learn.
Importing Markdown Files
You can import Markdown files directly into Zoho Learn and use them to create articles.
To import a Markdown file:
Click the Create button and select Import.

Choose the Markdown (.md) file you want to import.
The imported content will be created as an article.
Creating Articles Using the Markdown Editor
You can choose the editor you want to use when creating an article. Zoho Learn provides two editor options:
- Default Editor - Create and format content using the rich text editor. This is the default editor in Zoho Learn.
- Markdown Editor - Create and format content using Markdown syntax. This editor is suitable for users who prefer writing content in Markdown.
To create an article using the Markdown editor:
Click the Create button and choose Blank.

In the article creation popup, select Markdown Editor.

Enter your content using Markdown syntax.
Create the article.

The Default Editor uses a rich text editing interface, while the Markdown Editor lets you write and format content using Markdown syntax.
Previewing Markdown Files
You can switch between the Markdown source and its rendered preview when working with Markdown files.
Use the toggle options to switch between the two views:
Show Markdown: View the Markdown source, including its formatting syntax.
Show Preview: View the rendered content as it will appear when the Markdown is displayed.

This lets you review the content and verify its formatting before proceeding.
