Step by step guide to customizing a certificate
Whether you’re looking to recognize achievements or issue training completions, Zoho Learn offers an intuitive and customizable platform to design professional-looking certificates with ease. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of selecting, customizing, and issuing your certificates using pre-designed templates. By the end, you’ll be able to create certificates that not only look great but also help you keep track of your learners' progress. Let’s get started!
Using a template
The first step to creating your certificate would be choosing a template from the available list of templates. For that, navigate to the course that you want to assign a certificate to and then click on Settings. Find the Certificates option and click Expand. Click on the Create certificate button. Choose a template from the available list of templates.You can assign it to the course by selecting Done.
Customizing a template
Once you've selected your template, customize the certificate by adding fields such as learner name, course name, completed date, start date, and author name by choosing the field from the drop-down box on top of the editor view. These fields will be auto populated once you assign the certificate to the course.
After adding relevant fields to your certificate, delete sample fields if any and format the fields using the Format Value option.
If you have selected a template that has an image field, then you can add your image by replacing the existing image with a new image of your choice.
You can customize your certificate's background by either choosing a background from the Gallery or by choosing to upload an image from your device.
Uploading your own certificate
You can upload your own certificates and assign them to courses.
To upload your own certificate, click on the Add (+) icon. You'll be directed to the certificate editor. Select the Background Image option at the top of the editor view. Select the Upload Image option under the file manager and choose the certificate from your device. Once you've uploaded the certificate, drag and drop the relevant field and click Done.
