Adding SCORM Courses to Zoho Learn
SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is a collection of technical specifications for web-based learning content. It enables interoperability and reusability of courses, enabling teachers to easily incorporate a variety of content into their courses without relying on the LMS. Zoho Learn allows you to import SCORM courses created using other course authoring platforms and manage it's delivery and tracking.
Importing a SCORM course
SCORM course can be added in Zoho Learn by uploading SCORM zip package that consists of the imsmanifest.xml file when creating a course.
To import a SCORM course:
- Navigate to the Learning tab and click the Add icon (
) in the bottom-right corner.
- Click Import SCORM.
- Click Browse and select a zip file from your device.
- Click Import.
Advance SCORM settings
After importing the SCORM file, you can either choose to use the course player settings in the imported SCORM course, or make use of Zoho Learn's course player settings.
You can customize the Zoho Learn course player under course settings.
To change SCORM settings:
- Navigate to the course, then go to the Settings tab.
- Click the Expand button on the Advanced SCORM Settings option.
- To display lesson navigation in the left pane of the course, enable Show lesson navigation option.
- To show finish button at the end of a course, enable Show Finish button option.
- If you want to mark a course complete if the learners have finished all the lessons, enable Force Completion option.
Reports for SCORM courses
You can check SCORM specific reports for the courses you've imported with SCORM reports.
To view course specific SCORM reports:
- Navigate to the course and click Reports in the left navigation pane.
- Go to the Learner tab.
- Click View under SCORM Reports column of each learner to view advanced SCORM report.
Size limit for the SCORM zip file is 1 GB.
Zoho Learn supports both SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 versions.
