Changing the document in a lesson

To change the document in a lesson:
  1. Navigate to the lesson, then click the Settings icon () in the top-right corner.
  2. To change the document, click Change in the Manage tab.


Managing video lessons

Changing the video in a lesson

To change the video in a lesson:
  1. Navigate to the lesson, then click the Settings icon () in the top-right corner.
  2. To upload a video, go to the Upload tab and choose a video file from your device.
  3. To embed a code, go to the Embed Code tab and paste the code.
  4. To embed a URL, go to the Embed URL tab and paste the URL.
  5. Click Save.

Enabling video download

Authors can allow or restrict the download of videos by learners in the video lessons of your course.
To enable video download:
  1. Navigate to the video lesson, then click Edit.
  2. Click the Settings icon ().
  3. Enable Enable video download option.

Adding subtitles for video lessons

Authors can add subtitle files to support other languages to the video lessons in your course. You can add multiple subtitle files to your video lessons.

To add subtitles:
  1. Navigate to the video lesson, then click Edit.
  2. Click the Settings icon ().
  3. Enable Enable subtitles option.
  4. Click Add Subtitles.
  5. Enter the language, then click Upload subtitle file and select the file from your device.
  6. To rename an existing subtitle, click the More options icon () on the subtitle, then select Rename. Enter a new name for your subtitle and press Enter.
  7. To upload a different file for an existing subtitle, click the More options icon () on the subtitle, then select Edit and select a new subtitle file.
  8. To delete an existing subtitle, click the More options icon () on the subtitle, then select Delete.

Video subtitles is available only in our Express plan.
 

Mandatory watch

Ensure your learners watch the entire video without skipping. With this feature enabled, learners cannot skip ahead or move to the next lesson until they have viewed the full video. This guarantees that they watch the entire content before proceeding.


To enable or disable mandatory watch:
  1. Navigate to the video lesson, then click Edit.
  2. Click the Settings icon ().
  3. Enable or disable Enable mandatory watch option.

Managing a block lesson

Once you create lessons with blocks, you will be able to change the content, reorder the blocks, and manage the settings of your blocks.

Copying a block

To copy a block:
  1. Navigate to the lesson, then hover over the block you want to copy.
  2. Click the Copy icon ().

Deleting a block

To delete a block:
  1. Navigate to the lesson, then hover over the block you want to delete.
  2. Click the Delete icon ().

Moving a block

To move a block:
  1. Navigate to the lesson, then hover over the block you want to move.
  2. Click the Up icon () to move the block up. Click the Down icon () to move the block down.

Changing the block settings

To change the block settings:
  1. Navigate to the lesson, then hover over the block.
  2. Click the Settings icon ().
  3. In the Settings tab, select the padding from the Top Padding and Bottom Padding dropdown.
  4. To change the background color, click the color tile under Background Color and select a color. Click Remove to remove the background color.
  5. To change the text color, click the color tile under Text Color and select a color. Click Remove to remove the text color.

Changing content in image blocks

To change the content in image blocks:
  1. Navigate to the lesson, then hover over the block.
  2. Click the Settings icon ().
  3. To change the image, click Change in the Manage tab.

Changing content in video blocks

To change the content in video blocks:
  1. Navigate to the lesson and hover over the block.
  2. Click the Settings icon (), then click the Manage tab.
  3. To upload a video, go to the Upload tab and choose a video file from your device.
  4. To embed a code, go to the Embed Code tab and paste the code.
  5. To embed a URL, go to the Embed URL tab and paste the URL.
  6. Click Save.

Changing content in document blocks

To change the content in document blocks:
  1. Navigate to the lesson, then hover over the block.
  2. Click the Settings icon ().
  3. To change the document, click Change in the Manage tab.

Managing content in process blocks

To mange the content in process blocks:
  1. Navigate to the lesson, then hover over the block.
  2. Click the Settings icon ().
  3. Go to Content tab.
  4. Click Add Item to add an item to the process.
  5. To delete an item, click the Delete icon () on the item.
  6. To reorder the items, click and drag the items on the list.
 

Adding attachments to lessons  

To add attachments to a lesson:

  1. Navigate to the lesson.

  2. Click on Edit Content.

  1. Click on the Attachment icon.

  1. Click on the Add Attachment drop-down and choose from whether you want to add your attachment from.

 

Learners can view the attachments by clicking on the Attachments icon while viewing the lesson.
