Descriptive type questions are open-ended questions that require the learners to type in the answers. These questions have to be evaluated manually, and the result of the quiz will be pending until evaluation. Once the learners submit their quizzes, their answers to the descriptive questions will be available in the evaluation tab. You can evaluate the answers, assign scores, and provide feedback.
To evaluate descriptive answers:
Navigate to the lesson, then go to the Evaluation tab.
Select the quiz, then select the learner.
Evaluate the answer and select a score.
Click Add Feedback and provide feedback.
To publish the result of the evaluated submission, click Publish.
To publish the result of all evaluated submissions, click Publish All on the left panel.
Evaluating assignments
Once a learner submits their assignment, the contributors and instructors of the course will receive a notification for evaluation. You can evaluate the submissions uploaded by the learners, approve or reject them, and provide feedback. The result of the submission will be available for learners only after the evaluation is published.
To evaluate assignments:
Navigate to the course, then go to the Evaluation tab. The evaluation dashboard displays the total number of learners in the course and the list of assignments. The following information for each assignment is displayed:
Number of learners who are yet to submit the assignment
Number of evaluated submissions
Number of published submissions
Select the assignment, then select the learner.
Evaluate the submission and provide feedback.
Click Approve or Reject.
To publish the result of the evaluated submission, click Publish.
You can also choose to publish the results of all submissions you have evaluated in an assignment. To publish the result of all evaluated submissions, click Publish All on the left panel.
Learners cannot edit the submission when the assignment is under evaluation.
The assignment will be marked as complete only after it is approved or rejected.
For the submissions that are rejected, learners can resubmit the assignments depending on the maximum number of submissions allowed.
