Evaluating Learner Submissions

Evaluating Learner Submissions

Descriptive questions are open-ended questions that require learners to enter their answers in their own words. Since these answers require manual evaluation, the quiz result remains pending until all descriptive answers are evaluated.
Once learners submit their quizzes, you can review their descriptive answers from the Evaluation tab, assign scores, and provide feedback.

How to evaluate descriptive answers:

  1. Navigate to the course, then go to the Evaluation tab.
  2. Select the quiz, and then select the learner whose answers you want to evaluate.
  3. Review the learner's answer and assign a score.
  4. Click Add Feedback and enter your feedback for the learner.
  5. To make the evaluated result available to the learner, click Publish.
  6. To publish all evaluated submissions at once, click Publish All in the left panel.

Update learners' quiz answers

If a quiz answer was evaluated incorrectly, you can update its status to Correct or Incorrect to ensure the learner's score accurately reflects their performance. For example, if a learner's valid answer was mistakenly marked as incorrect, you can change it to Correct and update the learner's score.

How to set a correct answer as incorrect

You can mark an incorrectly evaluated question as correct.

  1. Navigate to the course and select Reports.

  1. Choose the quiz and select the learner.

  2. Locate question marked as Incorrect.

  3. Click More options and select Set as Correct.

The learner's score is updated after the answer is marked as correct.

Evaluating assignments

Once a learner submits an assignment, the course contributors and instructors receive a notification to evaluate the submission. You can review the submitted work, approve or reject it, and provide feedback.
The assignment result is available to the learner only after you publish the evaluated submission.
The Evaluation dashboard provides an overview of the assignments in the course. For each assignment, you can view:
  1. The number of learners who are yet to submit the assignment
  2. The number of evaluated submissions
  3. The number of published submissions
