Customizing legal disclosure

The organization administrator can customize the legal disclosures, which state the legal value of the electronically signed document and the signer's responsibility. Otherwise, Zoho Sign's default legal disclosure will be sent to signers. 

Please note that the legal disclosure will appear as "Electronic Record and Signature Disclosure," and the user must agree to the terms in order to start signing the document. This legal disclosure will be part of the certificate of completion as well.

To set custom legal disclosures:
  1. Hover over the Settings tab and select Branding.



  2. Navigate to Legal disclosure.



  3. Toggle the Custom legal disclosure option to ON.



  4. In the textbox, edit the legal disclosure based on your organizational needs.
  5. Click Save.
