Integration with the OpenAI platform via Zia
Available only in the US datacenter and in our paid plans
This integration enables Zoho Sign to harness the generative AI capabilities of ChatGPT and the OpenAI platform by integrating with them via Zia, our AI-powered assistant. This allows Zia to fetch data from the documents in Zoho Sign and share them with ChatGPT for generating appropriate responses that can be used in various scenarios. The integration offers extensive possibilities that are constantly expanding to help businesses boost productivity and efficiency, and improve the overall document signing experience offered to users.
How it works
- This works by allowing users to bring their own self-generated API keys from their existing OpenAI accounts for use within the Zoho ecosystem. You can use your OpenAI API key to connect your Zoho Sign account to ChatGPT and the OpenAI platform via Zia.
- Zoho does not charge users for using this integration within our ecosystem. However, you may need to bear the costs incurred in the usage of ChatGPT and other OpenAI platform functions by virtue bringing your own API key, payable directly to OpenAI.
This integration in Zoho Sign uses the ChatGPT extension based on the GPT-3.5-Turbo model by OpenAI.

Pre-requisites
- A paid Zoho Sign subscription
- An OpenAI account and a valid user-generated OpenAI API Key
Integrating Zoho Sign with the OpenAI platform
This can only be performed by administrators. If you are an administrator, follow the steps below to set up and configure this integration:
- In the left navigation pane, hover over Settings and click Integrations under General from the dropdown.
- Find the integration labeled OpenAI Platform and click the toggle to switch in ON.
- Upon enabling the integration, click Configure.
- Add your OpenAI organization name, organization ID, and API key in the fields shown. These values must correspond with your account settings on the OpenAI platform. Check your organization details here.
- If you haven't created an OpenAI account yet, you can create one here.
- You can generate your OpenAI API key here.
- Once the information has been entered, click Save.
By clicking Save, you acknowledge that you are permitting Zoho Sign to share the contents of the documents belonging to users in your organization with OpenAI in plain text, and that Zoho disclaims any liability resulting from the processing of this data by OpenAI through your self-generated API key.
