Verifying eMudhra and Aadhaar eSigned documents

  1. Open the signature properties of the signed document.

  1. Click Show Signer's Certificate.


  1. The Certificate Viewer will open, where the certificate details can be found.

  1. In the Certificate Viewer, click the Details tab, then click Name. If checked, you can find the document has been signed with the name that is registered with Aadhaar.

  1. Another way to check the document for eMudhra signature is by checking the visible signature. However, this can only be checked if the document has a signature field.


  1. Though the steps are almost same for Aadhaar eSign, another way to check the document for Aadhaar eSign is by checking the visible signature. However, this can only be checked if the document has a signature field.

 

Note: The documents are signed with the signer's personal certificate that is based on Aadhaar, which has the highest level of legal assurance.
