Advanced Electronic Signatures via IgniSign
Available in all paid plans and in the EU and US data centre
Zoho Sign has partnered with IgniSign, a trust service provider (TSP), to allows signers in the European Union to digitally sign documents with an advanced electronic signature (AES) using a digital certificate that can be obtained by any one of the EU eID authentication methods.
Documents signed using this method are considered legally valid in accordance with the eIDAS regulation (EU 910/2014).
Prerequisites
1. A valid Zoho Sign subscription
2. Sufficient Zoho Sign credits (four Zoho Sign credits will be consumed for every document signed)
How to enable IgniSign in Zoho Sign
An administrator can enable this integration using the following steps:
- From your Zoho Sign dashboard, hover over Settings and click Integrations.
- Find AES via EU eID through IgniSign in the list and click Configure. Then click Enable.
Agree to the terms and conditions and click Agree & Enable.
How to enforce your signers to use IgniSign in Zoho Sign
- From your Zoho Sign dashboard, click Send for signatures.
- Upload the document, add recipient details, and configure the signing workflow for each recipient.
- Click Customize next to the corresponding recipient.
- Under Digital signature providers, choose Selected providers.
- Select IgniSign and click Save.
- Fill out the remaining settings and click Continue.
Add the document fields, and send the document for signature.
How to sign documents with IgniSign using Zoho Sign
Once your recipient receives the envelope signing link, they will:
- Click Start Signing and choose Proceed to document.
- Agree to the terms and conditions, and fill in all the required fields.
- Click Sign with IgniSign.
- A pop-up will appear informing that you will be directed to a third-party trust service provider (TSP) website. Click Proceed.
Click E-ID Identification on the IgniSign window that appears. Choose your country and follow the on-screen instructions to finish signing the document.
How to review documents signed with IgniSign
- Download the signed document and its completion certificate.
- Open the signature properties of the signed document.
- Click Show Signer's Certificate.
- Review the certificate details in the Certificate Viewer.
- You can also validate your signature by checking under the Signed using section of the downloaded completion certificate.
