SIGN8 is a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) authorized under the eIDAS regulation to issue Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES) that are legally binding and recognized across the European Union.
The SIGN8 integration in Zoho Sign allows recipients to sign documents through QES that meets the standards set by the eIDAS regulation (EU 910/2014). Documents signed using this integration are legally valid and carry the same legal weight as a handwritten signature, as defined under Article 25 of the eIDAS Regulation.

How to enable SIGN8 integration in Zoho Sign
This action can only be performed by administrators. If you're an administrator, follow these steps:
- From the left navigation pane, click Settings > Integrations.
- Type "QES via SIGN8" in the search box, or you can find it listed under Digital signatures.
- Click Configure.
- Click Enable.
- Enter the Client ID, Client Secret, Account ID and Application Name.
- Click Save.
How to find the relevant BYOK details
You can find the client ID, client secret and account ID while creating a client in your SIGN8 account. You can create a new client by following these steps:
Click Clients from the left navigation pane.
Click Create client.
Enter the relevant details and click Create client.
You will be shown the account ID, client ID, and Client secret.
Ensure your securely store these values as the client secret and account ID won't be shown again.
How to enforce my signers to sign documents via SIGN8
- From your Zoho Sign dashboard, click Send for Signature.
- Upload the document, add recipient details, and configure the signing workflow for each recipient.
- Click Customize corresponding to the recipient. Under Digital signature providers, choose Selected providers.
- Select SIGN8 and click Save.
- Once all settings are completed, click Continue.
- Add the document fields and send the document for signature.
How to sign documents with SIGN8 using Zoho Sign
Once your recipient receives the envelope signing link, they will:
Click Start Signing and agree to the terms and conditions.
Fill in all required signer fields.
Select SIGN8 from the Sign via dropdown.
The signer will be redirected to the SIGN8's page where they can choose one of the following identification methods:
Cidaas
fidentity
Adesso ODIS
EUDI wallet
AusweisApp
Nect
Select one of the methods and follow the on-screen instructions.
Upon successful identification, the signer will be redirected back to Zoho Sign and the document will be signed.
How to check the documents signed with SIGN8
Open the signed document in a PDF-viewing application, such as Adobe Acrobat.
Click the Signature Panel to view the digital signature properties, where the SIGN8 certificate details will be displayed.
