Approval tracker extension

Approval Tracking allows teams to streamline work by setting up approvers who can check and sign-off on requests. This ensures that all stakeholders are on top of the project and allows managers to request for more information before signing off on a work item.

Install the app

To install app:

  1. Click the gear icon at the top-right. The settings window will appear.

  1. Click All under Marketplace section. The listing page will appear.

  1. Select Approval Tracker for Zoho Sprints.

  1. Click Install on the following page.

  1. Select the projects and set the accessibility for the users.  

  1. Click Install Now. After the installation, go to the Authorization tab.  

  1. Click Authorize to grant access.  

  1. Click Accept to authorize the app.

 

Installing this app will create a multi-user custom field called Approvers in the Work Item layouts. Users will not be able to create another field with the same name.

Submit an entry for approval

  1. Navigate to a project and select a work item (either in the backlog or sprint).

  1. Click the Approval Tracker extension from the right panel.

  1. Click Add Approval.

  1. Enter the details and click Add.

  1. The approver will receive a notification. Approvers can also see the request from the item details page. Up to 10 approval requests can be raised per work item.

  1. Every approval can be attempted thrice. If an approval is rejected for the third time, users will have to create a new entry.

 

Approve an entry

To approve an entry:

  1. Navigate to a project and select a work item (either in the backlog or sprint).

  1. Click the Approval Tracker extension from the right panel.

  1. First time users will need to authorize the extension.

  1. Click on Approve or Reject as per requirement.

 

Edit an approval entry

To edit approval entry:

  1. Navigate to a project and select a work item (either in the backlog or sprint).

  1. Click the Approval Tracker extension from the right panel.

  1. Hover over an entry.

  1. Click the edit icon.

  1. Make changes.

 

Deleting an Approval Entry

To delete approval entry:

  1. Navigate to a project and select a work item (either in the backlog or sprint).

  1. Click the Approval Tracker extension from the right panel.

  1. Hover over an entry.

  1. Click the delete icon. A confirmation pop-up will appear.

  1. Click Delete.

 

Uninstall the extension

To uninstall:

  1. Click the gear icon at the top-right. The settings window will appear.

  1. Click All under Marketplace section. The listing page will appear.

  1. Select Approval Tracker for Zoho Sprints.

  1. Click Uninstall.
