Create custom project status
You can create custom project status that best defines that status of your projects based on your business requirement.
There're default status options available.
- Planning
- In Progress
- Quote
- Negotiation
- Implementation
- Completed
- Closed
- Abandoned
But if your project management process has unique or specific statuses that you need to track, you can create new status.
- You cannot edit or delete default status options.
- You need to have a profile that includes permission to manage workspace settings to access this customization.
Create project status
To create new project status:
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The settings window will appear.
- Select Project Status under Workspace Settings.
- Click the +Project Status. The creation window will appear.
- Enter the status name.
- Select the status type as Open, In Progress, or Closed.
- Specify after which status the new status must be added.

- Click the Add button. The status is added to the listing page. When creating a project, you can select this as project status.
Edit project status
To edit project status:
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The settings window will appear.
- Select Project Status under Workspace Settings. The listing page will appear.
- Hover over the required status.

- Click the Edit link.
- Make changes.
- Click the Update button to save changes.
Delete project status
To delete project status:
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The settings window will appear.
- Select Project Status under Workspace Settings. The listing page will appear.
- Hover over the required status.
- Click the Delete link. A confirmation pop-up will appear.
- Click the Delete button. The status will be removed.
