The project dashboard provides a dynamic understanding of data in your projects with the help of graphical charts and stats.
The following charts are available on the project dashboard:
- Weekly status
- Item completion percentage
- User engagement
- Log and billing details
- Actual progress vs planned progress
View dashboard
To view project dashboard:
- Open the required project. The project backlog will appear.
- Hover over the info icon. The view details button will appear.
- Click View Details. The project details page will appear.
- Select dashboard tab to view dashboard.
Weekly status
- View the progress for a particular week.
- View the closed work items and the open work items for the week.
- Hover over the colors and look at the count of work items in different status.
Item completion
- Get the open and closed item completion in percentages.
- Track the number of work items in the open and closed status.
- Get the count in each item type.
- Click the ellipsis icon to export then chart.
How to read the completion chart?
Item completion chart represents the total work items, count of open, and closed items in the project.
In the chart above, the team has a total of 108 work items.

- The total work items in the project are listed in the center of the chart
- The progress marked in red indicates the closed work items
- The grey area denotes the work items in open
- Both the red and grey area represents the percentage of completion
- Hover over the colored area to view the total count and the count of individual item types
- You can also view the total count of stories, tasks, and bugs that are closed right below the graph.
- Percentage in the red and grey areas represent the overall completion percentage of the project. In this project, the team has more work items in the open status than closed status
User engagement
- View the most engaged users in the project.
- Hover over chart to track each user's items based on the number of items in each status.
Total sprints
Get the count of the sprints based on their sprint status:
- Total sprints
- Active sprints
- Upcoming sprints
- Completed sprints
Backlog items
- Track the count of the backlog items according to item type.
- Track user activity on backlog items.
- Hover over chart to get the count of items that each user has.
- Track the backlog item progress from the time its added to see if it's moved to sprints.
- Click the ellipsis icon to change view by filter, expand chart, and export it.
How to read the backlog chart?
This chart represents the most and least engaged users based on the number of work items in the backlog.

- It is a funnel chart that represents the top and bottom five users who have most and least number of work items in the backlog
- The member who is assigned more work items is listed in the top and the other members are listed down one after the other based on the count
- The size of the bars are based on the volume (i.e. count of work items) you can see the thickness of the first two bars, both are of the same size because they hold the same value. Others, have a reduced volume because they have lesser count
Log types
- Track the logs added for different log types (item, meeting, and general).
- Hover to view log hours and log date.
- Click the ellipsis icon to expand chart and export it.
Approval logs
- Track approval status of the log.
- Hover to view log hours and approval status.
- Click the ellipsis icon to expand chart and export it.
Billing status
- Track billing status and billed hours.
- Hover to view the number of billed and non-billed hours.
- Click the ellipsis icon to expand chart and export it.
Actual vs Planned
- Compare the actual progress of the project with the planned progress.
- Select the sprints to get the comparison for each sprint.
- Hover to view start and end dates.
- Get the completion status.
- Click calendar icon to view that day's progress.
