A meeting plays a significant role in agile-based project management style. According to agile principles, the meeting is an indispensable ritual that helps the team collaborate and stay aligned to the goal. It helps ensure a quality outcome at the end of every release.
Zoho Sprints allows you to schedule a meeting with the time of meeting, the duration, and the frequency of recurrence, and create the participants' list. You can also configure a reminder to be triggered before the meeting time.
The typical scenarios that call for a meeting in kanban projects could be a General meeting or a Backlog refinement meeting. The meetings can be conducted both online and offline based on your participants availability and locations. You can integrate with cloud meeting tools like Zoho Meeting to conduct your meetings online.
General meeting
As the term suggests, a general meeting can be about anything related to the items on the board or the team that the members need to discuss. These meetings are just meet-ups with your team members during the cycle of the project. Anyone in the kanban team can organize this meeting to discuss the progress of work, allocation of resources, upcoming items, course corrective measure, and more. There is no fixed timing or duration for this meeting and it can happen at any time.
Backlog Refinement
Backlog refinement meetings are related to the management of the project backlog and its items. This allows you to periodically revisit the backlog and review the items in them. Your team could discuss reprioritizing items based on existing requirements, removing obsolete work items, grouping redundant tasks, and adding more work items to the backlog. This allows you to assess you backlog and plan you work items and resource allocation.
