Release stages denote the status of a release. Each release houses a set of work items that need to be completed and delivered at the end of the release. Based on the progress of items, the release is tracked by stages. Learn more about
releases.
Like item status, Zoho Sprints provides default release stages. You can edit these to suit your preference or create new stages to follow your releases better.
There are three default stages to track releases:
Planning: The planning stage can refer to the open stage type where the preliminary groundwork for the release is carried out. This can include finding items that can be included in the release, estimating effort, coming up with timeframes, etc.
Ongoing: The ongoing stage can refer to the in progress stage type where the items in the release are assigned to the respective members and work on those items is underway. This can include release items being worked on, items being completed, adhoc items being included in the release, etc.
Released: The releases stage can refer to the closed stage type where the items in the release are taken to completion and the release is rolled out for customers. This can include all work items are in completed stage or release date is there and those items that are still pending are removed from the release and the rest are rolled out.
