To add risks:
- Login to your Zoho Sprints workspace.
- Select the Risk & Opportunities on the left navigation panel.
- Select Register tab and view by Risk.

- Click the Add button. The Add Risk window will appear.
- Enter the risk name.
- Provide a description.
- Select the projects impacted by this risk.
- Select user group to assign the risk to user in that group.
- Select risk owners.
- Enter identified date. Specify the date on which the risk was identified.
- Enter due date for the risk to be ended.
- Select the status for the risk.
- Select inherent impact. Inherent impact is the innate level of impact that the risk carries.
- Select inherent probability. Rate the likelihood of this risk having impact.

- Click the Add button. The risk will be added to the risk register.
Note: Inherent class will be derived from the risk matrix defined in the Risk and Opportunities available in the settings.

View risk details
The detail view of the risk provides an in-depth view of the risk information along with the accompanying tabs.
Details: View the risk related specifications like identified date, due date, owner, category, impacted projects, status, Inherent impact, probability, and class, and residual impact, probability, and class. Update risk field values here, except for residual section.
Description: View and edit description of the risk.
Comments: Add and edit comments, start a discussion, mention users or groups to notify them, convert comment to item, and copy comment URL.
Attachments: Upload files and images from your desktop or other cloud services.
Mitigation Controls: Add and track mitigation efforts that are used to reduce the impact of a risk. Associate relevant work items with each of the mitigation controls for better monitoring and progress.
Verification: Set up a review process for your risk mitigation process.
Evaluation: Submit evaluations to assess the results of the mitigation control steps and have them approved to ensure that the mitigation strategy has produced the intended output of reducing the severity of the risk.
Add mitigation controls
To add mitigation controls:
- Navigate to the risk register.
- Select the required risk. The detail view page will appear.
- Select the Mitigation Controls tab.
- Click the Add Mitigation Control button. The creation form will appear.
- Enter title and description.

- Click the Add button to add the mitigation control.
Tip
Click the (+) icon on the right navigation bar in the risk details page to add new mitigation control.
Add and associate items to mitigation control
You can add new work items to the mitigation control or associate existing items.
- Click the Add & Associate Items button in the creation form to include items to the mitigation control while creating it.

- Click Add Items on the mitigation control listing page to create a new work item for the risk.
- Click Associate Items on the mitigation control listing page to select existing work items for the risk.
Edit mitigation control
To edit mitigation controls:
- Navigate to the risk register.
- Select the required risk. The detail view page will appear.
- Select the Mitigation Controls tab.
- Hover over the required mitigation control on the listing page. The Edit link will appear.
- Click Edit.
- Update field values.
- Click the Update button. The changes will be saved.
Delete mitigation control
To delete mitigation controls:
- Navigate to the risk register.
- Select the required risk. The detail view page will appear.
- Select the Mitigation Controls tab.
- Hover over the required mitigation control on the listing page. The Delete link will appear.
- Click Delete. A confirmation pop-up will appear.
- Click the Delete button. The mitigation control will be deleted.
Note: If work items are associated with the mitigation control, move the item and then delete the mitigation control.
Add verification
To add verification:
- Navigate to the risk register.
- Select the required risk. The detail view page will appear.
- Select the Verification tab.
- Click the Add Verification button. The creation form will appear.
- Enter title.
- Select Review who will review the mitigation controls.

- Click the Add button. The verification will be added in pending status.
Note:
- The assigned reviewer must accept or reject verification after reviewing the mitigation efforts.
- Rejected verifications can be resubmitted for review.
- There are three review attempts.
Click the (+) icon on the right navigation bar in the risk details page to add new verification.
Edit verification
To edit verification:
- Navigate to the risk register.
- Select the required risk. The detail view page will appear.
- Select the Verification tab.
- Hover over the required verification on the listing page. The Edit link will appear.
- Click Edit.
- Update field values.
- Click the Update button. The changes will be saved.
Note: Editing is supported only for verifications in Pending status.
Delete verification
To delete verification:
- Navigate to the risk register.
- Select the required risk. The detail view page will appear.
- Select the Verification tab.
- Hover over the required verification on the listing page. The Delete link will appear.
- Click Delete. A confirmation pop-up will appear.
- Click the Delete button. The mitigation control will be deleted.
Add evaluation
To add evaluation:
- Navigate to the risk register.
- Select the required risk. The detail view page will appear.
- Select the Evaluation tab.
- Click the Add Evaluation button. The creation form will appear.
- Enter evaluation title.
- Select an Approver to approve the verified mitigation controls.
- Specify the Residual Impact following the mitigation efforts.
- Specify the Residual Probability following the mitigation efforts.
Note: The Residual Class will be generated based on the risk matrix and the newly added residual impact and probability. - Specify whether the risk is within tolerance or not. Within tolerance denotes the impact and the probability of occurrence have been reduced and the risk in tolerable.
- Add relevant comments on the evaluation for the benefit of the approver.

- Click the Add button. The evaluation will be added for approval.
Tip
Click the (+) icon on the right navigation bar in the risk details page to add new evaluation.
Note:
- The assigned approver must approve or reject evaluation after evaluating the results of the mitigation efforts.
- Rejected evaluations can be resubmitted for approval.
Edit evaluation
To edit evaluation:
- Navigate to the risk register.
- Select the required risk. The detail view page will appear.
- Select the Evaluation tab.
- Hover over the required evaluation on the listing page. The Edit link will appear.
- Click Edit.
- Update field values.
- Click the Update button. The changes will be saved.
Note: Editing is supported only for evaluations in Pending status.
Delete evaluation
To delete evaluation:
- Navigate to the risk register.
- Select the required risk. The detail view page will appear.
- Select the Evaluation tab.
- Hover over the required evaluation on the listing page. The Delete link will appear.
- Click Delete. A confirmation pop-up will appear.
- Click the Delete button. The evaluation will be deleted.
Other actions
The following actions can be performed on the risk register:
- Filter: Use quick and custom filters to drill down to particular set of data. Quick filters are inbuilt filter criteria that can be used to filter data. Whereas, custom filters allow you to define your own set of filter criteria. Learn more
- Export: Export the risk data in a downloadable file format for external use or reference. Learn more
- Copy to clipboard: Copy the bulk of data and paste in an external file for further use. Learn more
Set permission
Define specific profile permissions to control access to the risks and their details. Learn more
To define profile permission:
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The settings page will appear.
- Select Profiles under Manage Users section. The profile permission window will appear.
- Select the required profile.
- Select Risk and Opportunities on the left navigation panel.
- Enable the required actions for the entity level permission and choose the necessary permissions.
- Enable the required actions for the field level permission and choose the necessary permissions.
- Disable the permissions that need to be restricted for this profile.
- Click the Update button to save the permission settings. Users with this profile will only be able to perform the actions that you have defined here.
Note: The Assigned Projects only permission is enabled by default. This restricts user access only to the risks and opportunities associated with the assigned projects. When this permission is disabled, users with this profile will have access to all the risks and opportunities within the workspace.
