About sprint
Sprints is the crux of Zoho Sprints as an agile project management software. Its principles are formulated on the established theories of Scrum-based project management technique.
The sprint
The Sprint is a time-boxed period during which all the tasks required to deliver on the product goals for a particular iteration or release are performed, allowing for quicker deliveries. They usually have selective items with well-focused goals. Sprints can be defined as smaller projects that eventually come together to meet the entire project's goals.
Sprint planning
Sprint planning kick-starts each sprint. As a prerequisite to this, the product owner is expected to have the list of user stories ready in the product backlog. The primary aim of sprint planning is to identify a sprint goal. Following this, you can start assembling your sprint backlog and start working on them. The tasks for the sprint backlog can be picked up from the product backlog, which ideally contains all the user stories.
Sprint backlog
The sprint backlog is a prioritized list of backlog work items that are required to achieve a specific sprint goal. The team members are assigned work items from the backlog which they need to complete within the sprint's timeframe. Learn more.
Sprint meetings
Sprint meetings are similar to a daily status meeting. Every time you create a sprint, Zoho Sprints recommends scheduling meetings. These are time-boxed meetings that give an opportunity for the whole team to share where each of them stands and get an idea of how they're progressing as a team. It's also a chance to discuss any impediments that are stopping them from achieving the Sprint goal within the set time.

There are three defined roles in Zoho Sprints:
- Project Owner - The user who owns the project
- Sprint Owner - The user who owns the sprint
- Assignees - The users who work on the items in the sprint
