Cancel sprint

You can cancel the sprints that cannot be completed within the scheduled end date.

To cancel a sprint:
  1. You can cancel only the active sprints on your board.
  2. Go to the respective project.
  3. Navigate to the Board module.
  4. Select the required sprint.
  5. Click View Sprint Details. The Sprint Details page will appear.
  6. Click the Sprint Action dropdown at the top.

  7. Select Cancel. A pop-up will appear identifying items in the sprint.
    Note: You need to move, complete, or delete the items to cancel the sprint.
  8. Click Go to item(s). The items listing tab will appear.
  9. Select the items and move, complete, or delete them based on your requirement.
    1. Move - Move the item to another sprint or backlog.
    2. Mark as complete - Complete the item.
    3. Delete - Remove the item permanently.
  10. The sprint is canceled after clearing all the items in that sprint. 

View canceled sprints

To view canceled sprints:
  1. Go to the Reports module.
  2. Select Sprint Reports.
  3. Click the ellipsis icon.
  4. Select Canceled Sprints. The list of canceled sprints will appear.
  5. Click the Release Notes button to view resolved and unresolved items.
Notes
  1. Release notes are used to track the progress of the canceled sprints in the project. It displays the resolved and unresolved work items in the sprint. You can export the work items either as a CSV or a XLS file.
  2. Replan the sprint from here to reinstate the sprint to the backlog. Learn more.
