Customize sender email address
Zoho Sprints enables you to personalize or customize the sender email address from which all your application notifications are delivered. The sender email address is the "From" address of the automated notifications that the users belonging to your workspace receive.
Usually, the default email address of Zoho Sprints will be used. However, you can modify this to an address of your preference. To achieve this, you need to follow the verification protocol that enables you to authenticate the address through a series of steps. This is mandatory to ensure the security guidelines that are adhered to across Zoho.

Example
Let's assume you have a mobile app building platform called Zylker that builds mobile apps and widgets for customers. Your agile project management process runs on Zoho Sprints. With each and every update, email notifications are delivered to the respective users. These emails bear the default email address of Zoho Sprints. However, you need to use your organization's email address to send out these notifications.
Using the customize option in workspace settings, you can change the sender email address after getting it verified. Once updated, all the notifications sent out on behalf of your workspace will use this updated email address.

Add custom sender email address
To add a custom sender email address:
- Click the gear icon at the top right corner.
- Select Workspace Configuration under Workspace Settings.

- Click Change Sender under the Customize Sender Email Address section. The verification process will appear.
- Verify your domain by adding TXT record in your domain manager. An email with the verification code will be sent to the email address.
- Copy the code and paste it in the Customize Sender Email Address section.
- Click the Verify Email Address button. Once the verification is complete, all your notifications will be sent from the new email address.
Note
- The workspace owner and the user in the default admin profile will be able to add a custom sender email address.
- Click the Revert link to revert to default Zoho Sprints sender email address.
Domain verification
Domain verification is a process that helps authenticates the domain that the workspace owner uses to send the emails. This helps identify the sender, ensuring the recipients of the emails are protected against spam, forgery, and phishing. It also authenticates the sender as legitimate, facilitating the email being delivered to the recipient's inbox.
Verify domain
To verify domain using TXT method:
- Login to your Domain Manager.
- Go to the option to TXT add record.

- Add the provided Host Name and Key Value in the TXT record.
- Go back to the workspace configuration section in Zoho Sprints.

- Click the Verify Domain button to complete the domain verification process.
Note
- Do not remove this information from the TXT record as long as you use Zoho Sprints.
- Expect a waiting period of 30 minutes to 1 day for this change to take effect on your DNS Manager, depending on the TTL value.
