Create and manage web tabs

Web tabs are used to access external web applications from Zoho Sprints. Web pages or applications that enable you to obtain an embed URL will support this function. All you need to do is get the embed or publish URL from the external source and create a web tab in Sprints. You and the users you intend will be able to view data from that source without having to navigate to it.

Availability: Premier, Enterprise and Zoho One plan

Apply view conditions and access restrictions

Web tabs feature comes with components that help you restrict accessibility and apply conditions for viewing data.
  1. You can add URL parameters that will help you filter data based on the predefined parameters that are available. For instance, you can specify the parameter value as Team Name and ensure data relevant to only that team is displayed in the web tab. Or, you can specify the parameter value as Current User and ensure data relevant to that user is only displayed. There are more such parameters to select from.
  2. If the predefined parameters do not meet your requirements, you can also define custom parameters to be more specific with the criteria for the view.
  3. You can restrict the view access to specific users, user groups, profiles, or roles.

Alert

Points to remember while obtaining embed URL

  1. Only websites with https protocol can be embedded in Zoho Sprints.
  1. There are websites or applications that do not support embedding their webpage in any other website to avoid clickjacking attacks. These cannot be added as web tabs in Sprints.
  1. Web tab will not embed a website or an application using a normal webpage URL. Please add the src URL from the iframe HTML.
If the iframe HTML looks like this:
    <iframe src=" https://www.google.com/maps/embed?pb=!1m14!1m12!1m3!1d380208.6848505018!2d80.12372611997327!3d12.689440780097993!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!5e0!3m2!1sen!2sin!4v1653542191196!5m2!1sen!2sin" width="600" height="450" style="border:0;" allowfullscreen="" loading="lazy" referrerpolicy="no-referrer-when-downgrade"></iframe>
then use the src URL as shown below:
    https://www.google.com/maps/embed?pb=!1m14!1m12!1m3!1d380208.6848505018!2d80.12372611997327!3d12.689440780097993!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!5e0!3m2!1sen!2sin!4v1653542191196!5m2!1sen!2sin

In case you want to add new web tabs, you can remove or disable existing widgets that are not in use to clear slots for the new ones.
