How do purchase tasks in Zoho Thrive's Points program work?

Make a Purchase:

      You can use a make a purchase task to reward your loyalty participants for the purchases they make. Each task must be configured with certain points, which will be rewarded for every unit of currency they spend in your store. For example, if the task is allotted one point per dollar and a participant purchases for $50, they will receive 50 points.
It is not mandatory for the participant to click the Make a Purchase button inside the widget. Any purchase made after the program opt-in will automatically qualify for task completion.
Referral Purchase:

      You can use a referral purchase task to motivate your loyalty participants to refer new purchases to the business in return for points. Each task must be configured with certain points, which will be rewarded for every unit of currency the referral spends in your store. For example, if the task is allotted with two points per dollar spent and the referral purchases for a $100, the loyalty participant will receive 200 points.
It is mandatory for a referral to sign up to your store/site for their purchase to be tracked, thereby making the task valid. Joining the loyalty program is optional.
At times where the order is cancelled before dispatch, the order is dispatched but returns undelivered due to external factors, or the customer returns the product (return request raised), the points for the task would have been rewarded since a purchase was successfully made. To reverse the points rewarded, you must make adjustments to the points total of the respective loyalty participant manually.
Purchasing a product will result in points only for the value of the products.

Is it possible to manually add bonus points to a member's account?

Yes you can,


1. Go to Participants (If you're using the new UI, you need to navigate to Customers under the Loyalty Program division)
2. Hover over the respective member and click Details ->Actions -> Adjust Points
4. In the Points field, enter the number of points you would like to provide as a bonus.
5. In the Reason field, provide the motive for the bonus, and click Adjust.

The bonus points would have been adjusted real-time for the member (customer)
