Getting started with Zoho TouchPoint

Getting Started with Zoho TouchPoint

1. What is Zoho TouchPoint?

Zoho TouchPoint is a digital identity and customer engagement platform that connects your physical and digital touchpoints (NFC cards, QR codes, email signatures, and short links) to measurable business interactions.

Unlike a basic QR code generator, Zoho TouchPoint lets you decide what happens after someone scans, taps, or clicks. You can route every interaction to a destination of your choice, such as a lead form, appointment calendar, digital profile, survey, or app store link, and track the results end to end within the Zoho ecosystem.

TIP

The core idea: every touchpoint = a mode (how people interact) + a destination (where they land). You control both, and you can change the destination at any time without reprinting or resharing the touchpoint.

2. How it works: Modes & Destinations

Modes: Tap, Scan, or Click

A Mode is the physical or digital object that someone interacts with. Zoho TouchPoint supports four modes in version 1.0:

NFC Card

A premium physical card with an embedded chip. Recipients tap with their smartphone to access your destination page.

Digital Card

A digital business card with a QR code that you store in Apple or Google Wallet, or share as an image.

Email Signature

An interactive email footer with CTA buttons, linked to any destination.

Dynamic QR Code

A fully branded, customisable QR code. Change its destination anytime, the code itself never changes.

In addition, every destination automatically gets a short URL (Click mode) that you can share anywhere online, including social media, WhatsApp, SMS, email, bio links, and more.

Destinations

A Destination is the landing page that opens after someone interacts with your mode. TouchPoint offers 11 destination types, grouped in the app into four categories: Share who you are, Send people somewhere, Capture interest, and Drive action. A fifth group, Reuse, lets you pick a destination you have already created instead of building a new one. Ten destination types are available now; Survey Form is coming soon.

NOTE

Certain destination types count toward your plan's limit. You can identify them by the Pro label shown on their card in the destination selector. Each Pro destination you create counts toward your plan's limit (25 on Standard, 200 on Enterprise, 600 on Ultimate). All other destinations can be created without a count limit, the only ceiling is your plan's storage allowance. New destination types will be added over time; the Pro label in the product always indicates which ones count toward your limit.

NOTE

You can change a destination at any time without changing the QR code, NFC card, or short link. TouchPoint automatically tracks each destination version separately in analytics, so you never lose historical data.

3. Who is it for?

Zoho TouchPoint is designed for anyone who regularly connects with customers, prospects, or partners, in person or online. Common users include:

5. Step 1: Create your account

NOTE

You need a Zoho account to use Zoho TouchPoint. If you already have a Zoho account (for CRM, Mail, or any other Zoho app), you can sign in directly. No new account needed.

  1. Visit the Zoho TouchPoint website and click Sign Up Free. You can sign up directly, with no invitation required.
  2. Sign in using an existing Zoho account, or create a new one with your work email address.
  3. Choose your edition. You can start on the Standard (free) edition, or select Enterprise or Ultimate if you're ready to upgrade. You can start free and upgrade at any time.
  4. Give your organization or workspace a name. This is used in your dashboard and in any team or collaborative workflows you set up.
  5. Choose a short link name for your TouchPoint account. This creates your unique URL in the format zohotouchpoint.com/[your-link-name] and is used to generate destination page URLs. The link name must be between 4 and 6 characters, so your destination URLs stay compact and easy to share. Choose carefully, as this is used across all your destination pages.

6. Step 2: Create your first touchpoint

Once your account is set up, you land on the Create page, the home screen that shows all available modes and destinations. Here's how to create your first touchpoint from scratch.

Option A: Start with a Mode

Choose this approach if you already know the physical or digital format you want (for example, you want to create a QR code for a brochure).

  1. From the home screen, pick your mode: NFC Card, Digital Card, Email Signature, or Dynamic QR Code.
  2. Give your touchpoint a descriptive name (for example, "Trade Show QR - Mumbai 2026"). This name is used in your analytics reports.
  3. Select a template and customize it. You can change its colors, add your logo, adjust text, and resize elements. You can also generate five AI-powered design variations from your base design.
  4. Choose what people see when they interact with this mode: a profile page, lead form, appointment calendar, or any of the 10 destination types.
  5. Configure and customize the destination page. For forms, set your fields. For profiles, add your bio, media, and CTA buttons. For appointment forms, connect your calendar.
  6. Download your QR code or digital card, add it to an NFC card order, or install your email signature. Your touchpoint is live.

Option B: Start with a Destination

Choose this approach if you know what action you want people to take (for example, you want to collect leads), and you'll decide the format later.

Select any destination from the home screen. A QR code and short URL are automatically generated for that destination. You can use them immediately, or later attach them to a designed NFC card, digital card, or email signature.

NOTE

Standard (Free) edition note: Dynamic destinations (the ability to change where a touchpoint points after publishing) are available on all editions, including the Standard free edition.

Using the Design Studio

The Design Studio is available for all mode and destination types that have a visual output (NFC cards, digital cards, profiles, link pages, email signatures). Key features include:

  • Template library with categorized, industry-specific designs
  • Color theme customization and logo upload
  • Background remover for uploaded images
  • Free-form text and image placement with resize handles
  • Built-in QR code placement (NFC cards and digital cards) and CTA button placement
  • AI design variations: generate 5 alternative versions of your design with one click
  • Collaboration: share designs with team members for co-editing or comments (Enterprise / Ultimate)

NOTE

Form-based destinations (Appointment Form, Lead Magnet Form, and Survey Form) are configured through their own dedicated UI, not the Design Studio.

7. Step 3: Connect the Zoho ecosystem

What makes Zoho TouchPoint different from a standalone QR code tool is its deep integration with the Zoho ecosystem. Every touchpoint interaction can automatically flow into a Zoho workflow.

Your goal after the scan Destination to use Zoho app connected
Capture a sales lead Lead Magnet Form Zoho CRM / Zoho Bigin
Book a meeting or consultation Appointment Form Zoho Bookings
Collect customer feedback or NPS Survey Form Zoho Survey
Enrol in a marketing campaign Lead Magnet Form Zoho Campaigns
Source job applicants Lead Magnet Form / Profile Zoho Recruit
Create a bio-link or social landing page Link Page Zoho LinkThread
Advanced analytics and reporting Any Zoho Analytics / Zoho CRM

How integrations work

  • Standard (Free) users get access to selected Zoho apps, enough for basic use cases like capturing leads into Zoho CRM.
  • Enterprise and Ultimate users can connect all Zoho apps as well as third-party tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, and more).
  • Zoho One subscribers get the Enterprise edition of TouchPoint included; all integrations are active by default. See Section 8.

To connect an app, navigate to the relevant destination's settings and select Connect to [App]. You'll be guided through a one-time authorization. No additional fee is required to connect apps you already subscribe to.

8. Zoho One users

TIP

If you are a Zoho One subscriber, the Enterprise edition of Zoho TouchPoint is included in your Zoho One plan at no additional cost. Sign in with your existing Zoho account and your TouchPoint workspace will be automatically provisioned.

The Enterprise edition gives you up to 50 users, 200 Pro destinations, 2,50,000 contacts, premium templates, collaboration tools, and priority email support, all included within your existing Zoho One subscription.

As a Zoho One user, your TouchPoint integrations with CRM, Bookings, Survey, Campaigns, Recruit, and Analytics are active by default, using your existing data, pipelines, and configurations. There is no need to reconfigure connections.

9. Next steps

Now that you have an account and your first touchpoint is live, here are the most common things to explore next:

Order an NFC card

Purchase NFC credits and place a card order from your dashboard. Cards are printed and shipped globally with free delivery. See NFC Card.

Set up analytics

Visit the Analytics tab to view taps, scans, clicks, form submissions, geographic data, and conversion rates for each of your touchpoints. See Analytics & Reports.

Add users to your organisation

Navigate to Setup (gear icon) → General → Users to add or remove users. Roles and sharing permissions are managed under Setup → Security Control. See Setup & Administration.

Change a destination

Open the touchpoint tab you need (NFC Cards, Digital Cards, Email Signature, or Dynamic QR), switch the view to My NFC Cards or the equivalent for that type, select the touchpoint, and click Edit Destination to point it somewhere new. The original QR code or NFC card continues to work with the new destination immediately.

Export or share a report

From the Reports section, export data as CSV, PDF, or Excel, or connect to Google Analytics, Looker Studio, or Zoho Analytics.

NOTE

Need help? Standard users can reach the team via standard email support. Enterprise users get priority email support. Ultimate users have a dedicated account manager.
