Currencies in Zoho Vertical Studio | Vertical Studio Help Guide

Currencies

Configuring default Currencies ensures standardized financial data across your vertical application. You can setup a Home Currency and add multiple other currencies, each with an exchange rate relative to the home currency. Additionally, while configuring the Home Currency, you can define its format, including the symbol, separators, and decimal places.

Check this Managing Multiple Currencies help page for more details.

Packaged Currencies Settings

Packaged Currencies settings are configured in the developer console and deployed to subscriber organizations during signup or through upgrades. The Currency settings that are configured in the developer console will be included in the next version of the application.

To know more about packaging, please refer to our guide on Components Packaging in Zoho Vertical Studio.

The following table explains the upgrade behavior of an existing packaged Currency settings that are already deployed in the subscriber's organization.

If Home Currency was not defined in your earlier versions, you can introduce it through an upgrade, provided that subscribers have not already configured Multicurrency based on their own Home Currency. Similarly, Multicurrency can only be introduced through an upgrade if subscribers have not configured it independently.

Changes and Impacts

Since Currencies Settings cannot be modified, published, and pushed as an upgrade to the subscribers' accounts, there will be no impacts to the financial data across the Subscriber's organization.
