Blogs

A blog can be a great way to engage with your audience and attract like-minded visitors. You can create a blog and publish posts on your website. This will help with improving SEO and ranking for your website.

To set up your blog for your Zoho Sites website:

  1. Click the Add  icon, then click Blog PostAlternatively, you can click the hamburger menu and access Blog.
  2. If you are creating a new blog, click the Create Blog button.



  3. Click Add Post.



  4. If you already have a blog, you can opt to visit the Blog page listed under the hamburger menu, then click Add Post in the top-right corner.



  5. On the next screen, you will find a sample blog layout, which you can double-click and start editing to include elements or multimedia and edit its content. You can change font style, font size, and add links using the toolbar.



  6. Change tags, alignment, and heading style using the element property box. If the element property box is not displayed, click the settings icon in the tool box.



  7. You will see the Post Preferences menu pop up when you are posting your blog content. If not, click on the Post Preferences tab on the top bar. Enter your post URL, select a blog category or create a new category, include tags, enable or disable commenting, type a small summary, and set the cover image.



  8. Click the Publish Post button.

Publish, update, or save a draft

  1. Click Publish Post to push your post live. You will find this option in the Post Preferences popup or at the top—right corner of your website builder.
  2. On a post already published, you can make changes and then choose the Update Post option that will publish your revised blog. You will find this option in the Post Preferences popup or at the top-right corner of your website builder. 



  3. If you still need time to edit your blog, you can choose to Save Draft and work on it later. 

Add elements to the blog

  1. Click the add icon from the top bar. 
  2. Click Element or Section to add elements or sections to your post. 
  3. Drag and drop elements or sections on your page.

Schedule a blog post

  1. Access the pop-up by clicking Post Preferences at the top of your builder.
  2. Enable the Schedule Post toggle.



  3. Click the box next to the calendar icon and select a date from the calendar.
  4. Go to the clock tab at the bottom of the calendar and set a time. Click Ok.
Notes: You can access Blog under the hamburger menu and check if your post is listed as "Scheduled" among your published, unpublished, revised, or scheduled blog posts.
 

Set a cover image by uploading images

Cover images add aesthetics to your page. They can also be used to showcase the impression a brand is trying to promote. They complement the nature of your content or indicate what it is about. To add one to your Zoho Sites website:
  1. Click Set Cover Image.



  2. Either drag and drop files or click Upload to add images.
  3. Click Save to add the image.

Set a cover image from a new directory

  1. Click Add Directory in the top-right corner to add a new folder of images.
  2. Enter the Directory Name.
  3. Click Add.

Notes: Your cover image will be displayed when your site is published.
