Whether it's for design upgrades or content management, your website ownership can be transferred to another user either within or outside the organization. Only the site owner is authorized to change the ownership of their site after verification of the site ownership.
To transfer a site:
- Access Configuration under the hamburger menu on the left of your screen.
- Click Site Options.

- Under the Preferences tab, scroll down to the Transfer Site section.

- Add the email to which the site needs to be transferred.

Notes:
- If the website has a paid plan, the owner can transfer the authority of the site to anyone within the same organization account.
- In the case of a free plan, the site owner has the option to transfer the site to either a Zoho user in the same organization or outside the organization.
- If the site owner is trying to transfer the authority to an admin or a developer of the site, then it can be done without sending an invite.
- Click Transfer.
- To authenticate the website transfer, enter the verification code received in your email.

- Select Proceed. Once the new owner accepts the invite through email or accessing the index as a contributor, the site will be transferred to them.
