Blog Comments Moderation

Blog Comments Moderation

Comment boxes are a great way to improve interaction with your users. Note that you can only have one comment box per page. Let's see how you can moderate comments.

  1. Go to Manage -> Comments from the left panel.
  2. The comments received via the blog comment box will be displayed under the Blog tab, along with the time, date, user name, and email ID of the person who posted the comment.
  3. Select the comment you want to moderate. You can perform bulk actions on these comments.
  4. You can easily take the steps to moderate the comments by accessing the icons above the comments.

You can perform the following actions while moderating the comments:
    1. Approve the comment if it's appropriate and genuine. The check mark icon above the comments lets you approve the selected comment.
    2. Mark the comment as Inappropriate if the comment is not suitable or proper. You can click the icon (next to the check mark icon) above the comments, or click Inappropriate next to the comment.
    3. Mark the comment as Spam if you think the comment is unsolicited or unnecessary. You can click the exclamatory icon above the comments or click Spam next to the selected comment.
    4. Mark the comment as Not Spam if you assume it's not spam but don't want to approve it. Click the Not Spam icon above the comments.
    5. Mark the comment as Trash if it's irrelevant and will not add value for your visitors. You can click the trash icon above the comments or click Trash next to the selected comment.
    6. Click Restore to move the comments back to moderation from Trash.
  5. You can also click or directly mark the comments as Inappropriate/Spam/Trash using the shortcut buttons provided on the right.

  1. The Pending status displayed next to the comment changes when you choose a specific category for your comment.
  2. Only approved comments will appear on the blog for your visitors to see.
  3. You can use the filter icon to filter comments based on the categorization you have given while moderating.
