Custom Fonts
Choosing the right font for your website will not only improve the website aesthetics, but will also make the content readable whilst establishing content hierarchy. Precisely for this reason, Zoho Sites has a library of versatile fonts and variations of them (sizes and weights). Every time you click the text of the element on your site builder, you will see the font options from the dropdown which you can select to best showcase your headline, CTAs and more.
- Select Manage under the
hamburger menu icon on the left. Choose Fonts. You will see all the fonts listed here, grouped as serif, sans serif, and cursive, for your convenience.
- Click Custom Fonts. If you are adding custom fonts for the first time, click Add Font Family.
- In the popup that opens, enter the name of the font family. Font family implies the main typography design, based on which there can be variants of it in different weights and styles. Choose Substitute Font from the dropdown, which denotes the style of the font.
- The newly added font family will be listed on the dashboard. To upload variants of it, click Add Font below. You can add bold, italics, heavy, or any other kind of font under the font family.
- You can choose to upload the fonts from your system. Remember to upload TrueType Font (.ttf) files. You will see the uploaded font under the font family.
- You will see the variant listed below the main font. To add another variant, click on Add Font below the list, and to add an entirely new typeface, choose Add Font Family in the top-right.
- Click Edit Font Family to make changes to the font style you have uploaded.
- You can delete the font family by clicking Delete Font Family next to the font family you wish to remove. Similarly, you can also delete the font variant belonging to a font family by clicking Delete next to the font variant you want to remove.
- In the dialog box that pops up, click Delete.
- You can only add or upload one font at a time. It is not possible to upload multiple fonts simultaneously.
- When uploading an italic font file, it is necessary to also upload the corresponding normal version of the font file.
- When you delete a font family, its variant fonts will also be deleted.
