If you are looking at creating niche marketing campaigns or promoting a particular product, service, or event, subsites is the way to go about it. With Zoho Sites, you can craft a straightforward, easy-to-navigate micro-site to address a core target group, engage your audience, and convert them.
There are three different types of subsites you can create on Zoho Sites. Let's dive right in and explore each of these options.
Regular subsites enable you to create a distinct micro-site within the website. For example, zoho.com/sites and zoho.com/campaigns/ are different subsites created within the larger website zoho.com. The two subsites are created for different business needs — one to articulate the value proposition and offering of a website builder, while the other is for email marketing software.
To set up a regular subsite:
Click the hamburger icon and choose Subsites from the options listed below Dashboard.
You will be directed to the subsites dashboard. If you haven't created any subsites yet, you will find the option to Create Subsite.
On the screen next, you will have three types of subsites to choose from. Click Start under the Regular Subsite option. The next step is to fill out the details of your subsite.
Enter your Site name.
Select the language of your subsite from the Language drop-down menu. For a micro-site, this will be English.
Choose Region from the drop-down menu to create a subsite for a specific region.
Pick the document root under Parent Directory field to add subsites into the root folder of the website. Select files if you want to add the subsite inside the files folder. Otherwise, you can create a custom folder to add Subsites.
Enter the URL (you can use the suggested URL or enter your own) and click Save.
