I am creating a Teacher Directory for our non-profit organization's website that will allow the students & families to search our directory for a teacher that meets their child's needs.
But before I take the directory public online, I have discovered that there are several teachers who filled out our original form but left out several key fields (i.e. Address, etc...) I have developed an App that will (in theory) allow each teacher to view & update their own profile by way of creating one view per teacher where the criteria has been set to ONLY SHOW the data of THAT PARTICULAR TEACHER'S PROFILE.
I tried to share the first one to myself but when I click on the sharing link in my email when I'm signed out of Zoho, it FORCES ME to either register for or sign in to Zoho.
Even though registration on Zoho is totally Free, I have already encountered some people who don't want to register for ANYTHING in order to access the data on our site. I ran into this issue during the first release of our Teacher Directory, which was broken up into 50 PDF documents (1 for each of the 50 States). In order to get the data of the first public directory up & on the web, I chose to use Scribd to publish the PDFs. Some people (who aren't very tech-savvy) had the mistaken idea that THE ONLY WAY to download the PDFs from Scribd was if you signed up for Facebook!! Obviously, this is not the case, but they interpreted that way.
With the way that Zoho is set up, I am fairly sure that there is in fact NO WAY to access the Teacher Profile Editor form that I share w/ the teachers
WITHOUT FIRST registering for Zoho.
Is this in fact the case??
If not, how can I allow the people I send the links to w/o them being required to sign in to Zoho? Basically so that the way Zoho determines if they are a permitted user is simply by the Unique URL that is sent out to them by the App Creator.
I DO HOPE THAT SOMEONE CAN HELP because I REALLY NEED to get these Profile Correction forms emailed to the teachers ASAP so that I can get the responses back and put the new version of the teacher directory online.
