Authenticating our domain - SPF and DKIM - will more people get our newsletter now?

We have a very popular email newsletter that thousands of people read in our industry.  We virtually have no unsubscribes and we probably have not had a spam report in two or three years. 

When we switch over to ZOHO Campaigns and authenticate our domain (SPF and DKIM) our feeling is is that our newsletter may actually be delivered to a few thousand people more over current levels because they might not be getting the newsletter today because our current email marketing solution has no authentication. 

What is your experience when newsletters switch over?  Do a lot of email subscribers finally get newsletters which had been getting trapped in their spam filters? Do you think our opens might go up?
