I’m trying to create a regular offline backup of my Zoho WorkDrive data and have run into a problem with bulk folder downloads.

I have a nested folder structure in WorkDrive. For example, one parent folder may contain around five subfolders, each of those may contain another four or five subfolders, and some of those contain a further ten or so folders. Many of these folders contain native Zoho Sheet files.

When I download a smaller individual folder, the Zoho Sheets are successfully converted to Excel (.xlsx) and included in the download.

However, when I select a higher-level parent folder containing multiple nested subfolders, WorkDrive processes it as a scheduled/bulk download. In those larger downloads, many of the Zoho Sheet files are skipped.

For example, in one recent bulk download I received a Skipped_Files.txt showing 64 Zoho Sheet files that were not included. At the same time, some other Zoho Sheet files within the same bulk download were successfully converted to Excel and included.

So the issue is not that all Zoho Sheet files are being skipped. Some export correctly and others do not.

I’ve also confirmed that at least some of the files listed as skipped can be downloaded successfully when I go into their smaller containing folder and download that folder separately. For example, I downloaded one smaller folder containing around 10 Zoho Sheet files and all of them converted to Excel and downloaded without a problem.

This makes it appear that the problem is related specifically to the scheduled/bulk download and conversion process, rather than the individual Zoho Sheet files themselves.

My goal is simply to maintain a regular offline backup of my WorkDrive. Downloading hundreds of individual folders separately is not practical.

Could you please clarify:

• Is this a known limitation or issue with scheduled/bulk WorkDrive downloads containing native Zoho Sheet files?
• Is there a limit on how many Zoho Sheets can be converted to .xlsx within one scheduled download?
• Why would some Zoho Sheets in the same bulk download succeed while others are skipped?
• Is there a recommended way to download a higher-level folder structure while ensuring that all native Zoho Sheet files are included as Excel files?
• Is there any way to retry only the skipped files automatically?

I’m mainly trying to determine whether this is expected behaviour, a known bug, or whether there is a supported bulk-backup method I’m missing.
