Campaign test email loses formatting when sent

I'm designing an e-mail newsletter in Zoho and it looks perfect in the Zoho App but when the message is sent out as a test the formatting is lost.
The message was originated using one of the Zoho templates.
The letter is formatted with 2 columns @70/30 ratio but when sent the 30% column drops straight down the right side of the page to have the top of the 30% column aligned with the bottom of the 70% column.
When the letter is opened in a browser the 30% column is displayed directly below the 70% column with both edges aligned to the left edge of the page.
