Click Count Looks Artificially High
I sent an email a couple of days ago with a link to a pdf document hosted on our website. The data is showing that particular link was opened by 194 contacts with 7477 views. I'm questioning the integrity of this data because that seems like a really high click rate for a low number of contacts. There's a handful of contacts that a showing hundreds of clicks, some as high as 977. So I dove in a little further: for example one contact had 659 clicks but was only showing 3 opens. Another showed 834 but only 12 opens. How is this possible? P.S. I can't go back to google analytics to compare a hit count there because it's a pdf document that didn't include the analytics code.
