Email Action Autoresponder - Click Specific Link not available

I need help in creating an email action autoresponder that allows me to send an email when a subscriber clicks on a specific link in an email in a different autoresponder to indicate specific interests.

Currently, I get the message: "You cannot create a specific click based Autoresponder for unsent campaigns/Autoresponders". I have not activated the first Autoresponder which will send out the interests email. However, from the error message it sounds like I not only have to activate it but to have actually sent some emails. I want to set up this email action autoresponder before the first one goes active.

Is there a work-around so that I can set up this second autoresponder to send a follow up email based on a subscriber clicking on a particular interest in an email in the first autoresponder without first sending emails in the first autoresponder? If so, what do you recommend?
