I have two problems. Both of them arised after I created a folder (let's call it "Project X") for some of my emails that I wanted to categorize. As a side note, I use the option to see mail replies together with my mails, as a part of a thread. For simplicity, I'll call them conversations.

I moved some conversations from "inbox" to folder "Project X".

1. The first problem is: the mails in Project X are not always sorted by the newest mail of the conversation. When the last thing in the conversation is a mail I received, then the date is correct, but if my answer was the last thing in the conversation, then the conversation will show with the date of the newest RECEIVED mail, not the answer.

When I went to folder "Sent", which contains mails I have sent, I could see my mail with the correct date. To solve problem 1, I tried dragging the mail from the "Sent" to "Project X", but then nothing changed in the "Project X", while the mail is not present in "Sent" anymore.

2. So the second problem is: how do I restore sent mails to the folder "Sent"? I do not want to lose my conversations in "Inbox", "Project X", or wherever receiving emails might happen to be.

I was trying to find a copy option, so I can create a copy of the email and then move it to Sent. that would solve problem 2 I think, but I still have no idea how to solve problem 1, where mails are sorted by date, but only date of received emails in the conversation - the sent emails are not taken into account at all.
