Finetuning the 'Quote' option

Currently, I observe the 'Quote' is quoting the full message. Can you extend it so that it can be used to quote only sections of the originla message similar to those in forums like http://www.codeproject.com/

That would be more user-friendly right and help the answerer to address the asker's question more precisely.
