Tip #61- Collaborate live with Invite Technician- 'Insider Insights'

We’ve all been there: you’re deep into a complex remote session, and you realize you need a second pair of eyes. Instead of ending the call or rescheduling, why not just bring the expert to you?

With Zoho Assist, you can invite internal colleagues or external consultants to join your active session instantly. No downtime, no friction, just faster fixes.

Inviting an Internal Technician  

Best for: Collaborating with teammates already in your Zoho Assist organization.

  • The "Jump In" Method: If a colleague sees your active session, they can click the IN SESSION button next to the session ID to join you immediately.

  • The "Direct Invite" Method: 1. Inside the live session, go to SESSIONInvite Technician. 2. Select Internal, enter their email, and hit Invite. 3. Pro Tip: You can also copy the invite link and ping it to them via chat!



Inviting an External Technician
  

Best for: Bringing in third-party vendors or specialists outside your company.

  1. In your active session, navigate to SESSIONInvite Technician.

  2. Select the External tab.

  3. Enter their email address and send the invite. They’ll receive a one-time secure link to join your session, no account required on their end.

Good to Know: The "Relay" Feature  

One of the best parts of this feature? Continuity. If the primary technician needs to leave, the invited technician (internal or external) can keep the session running with the same permissions. This ensures the customer isn't left hanging if you have to jump to another meeting.
