Hey Zoho Assist Community!
For those using Zoho Assist's Unattended Access feature, you may come across a need to configure your device through a proxy server. This setup is particularly useful if your network requires strict proxy configurations for security or other purposes.
Need to manage devices in a secured network with strict proxy settings? Configure Zoho Assist’s Unattended Access to run smoothly through a custom proxy server.
Here’s a quick guide to get you started:
Enable Proxy Configuration: By default, Unattended Access uses the system’s default proxy settings. However, if you want to configure it manually, navigate to Settings in Zoho Assist, scroll down to Unattended Access, and select Proxy.
Once enabled, you can enter the specific proxy details like:
Proxy IP Address
Port Number
Proxy Authentication (if needed)
Why Configure a Proxy? Configuring a proxy allows Zoho Assist to communicate securely and effectively with remote devices, even in networks with strict/complex proxy configurations.
Default Proxy Settings: If you don’t configure a custom proxy, Zoho Assist will automatically use the default proxy settings from your device’s network configuration.
This makes remote management super flexible and adaptable, especially for those managing devices across secured or complex network infrastructures. If you encounter any issues or require further assistance, contact support@zohoassist.com.
