How to trigger actions based on an Email status in Zoho CRM.

In today's post, we are going to see how we can configure actions based on an Email status. 

Many of us have been using the Mass Mail functionality in Zoho CRM to stay connected with our customers. Now, as a business, It is very crucial for us to know if the Email Campaign we send from Zoho CRM is being opened or clicked. It is also essential to have the ability to configure automation depending on the Email Status.. 

Quite sometime back, we had provided the option to configure actions based on an Email status. For example, if an Email that you send is "Opened" or "Clicked" by your recipients, you can create a Task or update a Field automatically by using this feature.

To set this up go to the Leads or Contacts module and click on the Ellipses button and select the Mass Mail option as highlighted below.




Now, click on Create Mass Mail.



When configuring the Email details, you have the option to schedule an Email to a later date as well. Under "Follow-up Action", select your Email Status which would allow you to configure the actions accordingly.































You'll now see a pop up to Update a Field, Create a Task, or Schedule a Call as a Follow-up action.

Also, the Enterprise edition, has the option to schedule another Email Campaign automatically for the recipients who have opened or received an Email. You need to click on the "Add Follow-up" option and select the settings based on your requirement.
