Is it possible to visually differentiate an account or contact based on a status field?
So sometimes an account calls in, and we when we look them up we may have notes in there that are critical read before talking to them. For example say "UNPAID INVOICE". Sometimes it be overlooked and then we just support them as usual. Or Key Accounts that need the VIP treatment. Or Lost Accounts, sometimes we terminate a customer for not paying their bill, and then they call in a week later wonder why they are not getting service.
What i'm thinking is If had a dropdown field that if value is "UNPAID INVOICE", "TERMINATED ACCOUNT", or even just a checkbox "READ NOTES", something, anything. When this trigger is met that the account would then have some kind of colorful, eyecatching visual alert that something is going on and needs to be looked at. Maybe highlight the account name in red, or set the page background color to red. The key is eyecatching, colorful, very obvious that something needs to be looked at, even for someone who is a dope with computers.
What would be the best way to accomplish this? or something like it? I'm wondering if a client script is the best way? But i'm not sure how to set an "alert" with it.
