Is it possible to pre-populate the sign-up forms with the customers detail information?

Is it possible to pre-populate the sign-up forms with the customers detail information?

Wondering if it is possible to pre-populate the customer information in the sign-up forms?  Or in the Update Profile section, can you have the customer fields pre-populated there?
