Marketing Tip #33: Build trust with behind-the-scenes content

Customers are more likely to trust a brand when they can see the people, process, and care behind it. Behind-the-scenes content adds that human layer to your business. It shows that there’s a real team behind the store packing orders, checking quality, creating products, or preparing launches.

This kind of content works because shoppers today look for authenticity, transparency, and emotional connection.

You do not need polished production for this. Even a simple photo of order packing, product making, or the people behind the brand can make your store feel more trustworthy and memorable.

Share one simple behind-the-scenes moment from your business this week, like packing an order, prepping inventory, checking product quality, or a founder/team introduction.

Best practices:

  • Show real people whenever possible. A founder photo, team shot, or hands-at-work image usually feels more trustworthy than generic graphics.

  • Focus on moments that answer customer questions like: Is this brand real? Do they care about quality? Can I trust them?

  • Keep captions simple and honest. Explain what’s happening and why it matters.

  • Reuse the same behind-the-scenes content across your store, social posts, and About Us page.
