Merge Fields not working on some lists

I sent an email with Dear and personalized the first name with the merge field. On some of the lists the email was sent to it merged on others it did not. It was all sent at one time. All the lists have the default first name and last name. The only difference is I created the lists it worked on and someone else created the lists it did not work on.

Any help is welcome!
