Running or executing a campaign

Does anyone know how to run a campaign or execute one please?
OK you create a campaign you associate leads to it or the other way. What do you do with it? Zoho documentation is missing this info. Or maybe I am missing the purpose of a Campaign record in ZOHO, and it is only designed to be manually managed and just be used for reporting?
In a CRM, I am expecting be able to add groups of leads, in the email campaign , and schedule it for execution(sending) on a certain time. Then the Campaign record and features in it must be able to show me, the number of emails sent, received, opened, and click through by recipients. Does campaign in Zoho have the same purpose or it is just a manual memo to enter the information in it and mass email is the only way to send email to leads?
