Hello Zoho Assist Community!
Imagine you are a technician helping a customer troubleshoot a complex server configuration issue. The fix requires running a series of precise commands, entering long file paths, and copying error logs from the remote machine back to your own for analysis. You have everything ready on your end, but transferring that information means typing it out manually, character by character, across two different systems. One typo in a command and the whole process stalls.
That is the problem Clipboard Sync in Zoho Assist solves. With Clipboard Sync enabled, the content already saved in your clipboard is synced directly to the remote device. No retyping. No dictating. What is on your clipboard is ready to use on the remote machine.
This feature is especially valuable for IT technicians, MSPs, and helpdesk agents who regularly work with commands, scripts, credentials, error messages, and log data during active support sessions.
How to enable Clipboard Sync during a session
Start a remote support session and navigate to the Technician Console. Click on Session in the left sidebar and select Clipboard Sync from the dropdown menu. Once enabled, the clipboard content already saved on the technician's device is available on the remote device as well.

Why is this feature useful?
Clipboard Sync removes one of the most common friction points in remote support, manually re-entering information across two machines. Here is why it matters:
No retyping needed: Content already copied on your device transfers directly to the remote machine.
Faster sessions: Skip the back and forth of manually entering text on the remote end.
Fewer errors: Avoid mistakes that come from manually typing out long values, paths, or keys.
Simple to use: One click from the Technician Console and your clipboard is synced.
If you have used the Clipboard Sync feature during a remote session, whether to speed up troubleshooting, transfer commands, or pull data from a remote machine, we would love to hear how it fits into your workflow!
