What's New in Zoho Billing | June 2026

Hello users!

June brings a new set of updates to Zoho Billing designed to strengthen how you manage subscriptions, customise your records, and handle expense documentation. This month's highlights include a new one-time addon quoting workflow for subscriptions, PDF template support for expenses, bulk import for item subscriptions, and more.

Create One-Time Addon Quotes for Subscriptions

Businesses often need to charge customers for non-recurring services or goods that they provide outside their subscription cycle. You can now create a one-time addon quote directly from an active subscription to handle this.

The quote gives your customer a formal proposal to review, negotiate, and accept before invoicing. Once accepted, an invoice is generated based on your configured quote conversion preferences and is associated to that subscription. If autocharge is enabled for the subscription, the customer's saved payment method is charged immediately. Customers can also view and accept one-time addon quotes directly from the Customer Portal. Learn More

Notes
To create this quote, go to the subscription, click the More icon, and select Create Quote > For One-Time Addon.

Import Item Subscriptions

You can now import item subscriptions in bulk using the Import option under the Import Subscriptions tab. This removes the need to create each subscription manually and speeds up onboarding when you have a large number of item-based subscriptions to set up for your customers.

Notes
To do this, go to Subscriptions > Import Subscriptions and select the option to import item subscriptions.

Customize PDF Templates for Expenses

You can now customize the PDF template of your expense records using a fully configurable template; consistent with how other transactions' PDFs work today. A default template is automatically created for your organisation, so no manual setup is needed to get started. When viewing or editing a single expense, you can select a specific template.

Notes
To create a new template, go to Settings > PDF Templates > Expenses and click + New.

Track Custom Field Usage

You can now track all the places a custom field are used for each module. This gives you a clear picture of field usage and helps you assess the impact of modifying or deleting a field.

Notes
Go to Settings, select a module switch to Field tab and click Custom Field Usage to view its usage.

Retain Attachment and Image Custom Fields During Record Conversion and Clone

Attachment and image custom field values are now automatically carried over when you convert or clone records in Zoho Billing. For example, when you convert a quote to an invoice, files in these custom fields are carried over to the invoice. When you clone a record, the files are retained in the new record, so you do not have to upload them again.
Info
Note: For conversions, custom fields are carried over only when both transactions have the label name and same data type.
