Zoho Books | Product updates | January 2026

Hello users,

We’ve rolled out new features and enhancements in Zoho Books. From e-filing Form 1099 directly with the IRS to corporation tax support, explore the updates designed to enhance your bookkeeping experience.

E-File Form 1099 Directly With the IRS From Zoho Books [US Edition]

Zoho Books lets you generate and e-file Form 1099 directly with the IRS from within the product. When you create or edit a vendor, you can enable the option Track payments made to this vendor for filing Form 1099. Once enabled, Zoho Books automatically tracks all payments made to that vendor and includes them in the Form 1099 report. When you’re ready to e-file, Zoho Books automatically generates the Form 1099 using your existing vendor and payment data. You can review the form, verify reported amounts, and check how transactions are categorized for federal and state reporting. Once reviewed, the form can be submitted electronically to the IRS directly from Zoho Books.

Corporation Tax & Final Accounts [UK Edition]

Corporation Tax is the tax that UK-registered limited companies pay on their profits. It must be calculated and filed with HMRC for every accounting period using the CT600 form, along with the year-end Final Accounts. With this feature in Zoho Books, you can automatically calculate your corporation tax liability based on your transactions and generate your Final Accounts and Corporation Tax return in the required format for submission to HMRC and Companies House.
Secondary Language & Bilingual Template Support [UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar Editions]
You can now add secondary language values for the specific fields. You can also use standard bilingual templates for invoices, credit notes, and retainer invoices.

Associate Invoice Numbers with Credit Notes [US & Canada Editions]

We’ve introduced support for associating invoice numbers with Credit Notes. With this enhancement, you can now link a Credit Note to an existing invoice that has been marked as Sent. Additionally, for organizations integrated with Avalara, associating an invoice number with a Credit Note ensures the tax rate is determined based on the original invoice date.
Introducing Compact Bilingual Template [UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar Editions]
We’ve introduced the Compact Bilingual template, designed to display more line items in a space-efficient layout while presenting primary and secondary languages side by side.

Zoho Inventory Add-On Updates

Xpressbees Shipping Integration [India Edition]

We’ve introduced the Xpressbees shipping integration. With this feature, you can manage shipments directly from Zoho Books without switching between platforms.

New Move Order Statuses

We’ve introduced statuses in Move Orders. The updated workflow now follows Draft → Confirmed → In Progress → Completed, giving you clearer visibility and control at each stage of the movement process. Additionally, you can now assign a user to a Move Order.

Other Feature Enhancements

  1. You can now export GSTR-2B data for a selected range of return periods in XLSX format. You can also view reconciliation data for the chosen Start Period and End Period directly in the GSTR-2B Reconciliations tab. [India Edition]
  2. The Total field in transaction PDFs is now displayed in the official moneda nacional format. [Mexico Edition]
  3. You can now select which accounts to use for tracking incoming and outgoing transfer taxes from your chart of accounts. Simply choose accounts of the Input Tax and Output Tax types to record these taxes. [Mexico Edition]
