Hello users,

We're back with fresh feature updates in Zoho Books. Starting from associating an applicable period for TDS taxes to minimised tab view for web tabs, discover the latest enhancements that will streamline your workflow and elevate your accounting experience. 

Introducing Zoho Payments for Zoho Books

Zoho Payments, our unified online payment solution, can be configured in Zoho Books to collect payments seamlessly from your customers. You can collect payments securely using multiple payment methods and get payouts daily, ensuring smoother transactions for your business and customers. Zoho Payments is available in India and on early access in the US. Learn more here

Associate an Applicable Period for TDS Taxes [India Edition]

The Income Tax Department of India regularly updates TDS rates. To manage these changes, you can set an End Date for the existing TDS rates as updated by the government. Once this applicable period expires, you won't be able to associate the TDS rates in transactions. You can create new TDS rates instead. This way, you can update the rates as mandated by the government.

To set an applicable period for the TDS rates, go to Invoices. Select an invoice, scroll down to the total section and select TDS. Click the Select a Tax dropdown and click Manage TDS. You can then select the tax rate that you want to edit, enter the required details, and click Save.

 

Minimized View for Web Tabs

We’ve introduced a minimized view for Web Tabs. You can now access other modules while keeping track of  your web tab simultaneously.

To minimize a web tab, go to Web Tabs. Select a web tab and click the Minimize icon.


Assign a Company ID to your Customers and Vendors [Global Edition]

We’ve introduced a new field, Company ID, in the customer and vendor modules. You can now enter a company’s unique identification number when creating a new customer or vendor. 

For example, the SIREN is a unique 9-digit number that identifies a business or organization in France. You can add the SIREN number as a Company ID when you create a customer or vendor with a SIREN ID.


Integrate your Zoho Books Organization with Envia

By integrating your Zoho Books organization with Envia you can streamline your shipping operations. You can generate shipping labels, view real-time shipping rates, track orders, manage stock levels, generate comprehensive reports, automate repetitive tasks and much more.



Note: This integration is only available for organizations that have the Zoho Inventory Addon enabled.

Search Manual Journals by Customer or Vendors 

You can now perform advanced searches in manual journals with Customer or Vendor Name. Additionally, you can create custom views with Customer or Vendor Name.



To search and filter manual journals based on a specific customer or vendor, click the Search icon. Select Advanced Search from the dropdown. In the pop-up that appears, select Journals in the Search field and select a Customer Name and Vendor Name.

Customize Workflow Triggers

You can now automate workflows in other applications based on events or actions that occur in your Zoho Books organization. This feature allows you to create personalized workflows ensuring that the configured actions happen promptly based on the triggers you set.

For example, you can set up a trigger in Zoho Books that automatically creates a lead in your CRM when an invoice is generated.
Additionally, you can now export your workflow logs in CSV or XLSX format.

Other Feature Enhancements

  • You can now associate TDS with transactions at the line-item level [India Edition]
  • You can now filter the Activity Logs and Audit Trail report with base currency adjustment and opening balances.
  • The AR Aging Summary and AR Aging Details reports now include support for advanced filters, exporting the current view, and grouping the report by invoices, credit notes, and journals.
