I'm adding the contact/Lead to Campaign associated List.but i'm not sure

1.How soon will the first email go out once the contact is assigned to this campaign? which is already in running state.

Also the Campaign have automation response workflow as well so i need to know

 

can I continue edit a running Campaign follow  automation emails, or does it lock all the automation emails that follow if i edit its contents?
